je relis la traduction de ma vieille \u00e9dition du <em>Th\u00e9\u00e2tre complet<\/em>, de la Biblioth\u00e8que de la Pl\u00e9iade \u2013 qui date de mes ann\u00e9es universitaires \u2013 elle n\u2019\u00e9tait pas si mal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La nouvelle non plus, et je savoure avec b\u00e9atitude une des pi\u00e8ces les plus int\u00e9ressantes d\u2019un de mes auteurs f\u00e9tiches, avec Ionesco&nbsp;: l\u00e0 o\u00f9 ce dernier pousse l\u2019absurde dans ses derniers retranchements, l\u2019italien nous plonge sans cesse dans un monde o\u00f9 s\u2019entrecroisent folie et illusion \u2026 \u00e0 un tel point qu\u2019on ne sait si l\u2019on devient fou comme Henri IV ou que la v\u00e9ritable folie serait de croire que le monde ne l\u2019est pas, absurde et fou&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le plus t\u00e9m\u00e9raire \u00e9tant de croire que l\u2019on peut discerner ce qui est sens\u00e9 de ce qui ne le serait pas&nbsp;: tel est m\u00eame le propos d\u2019<em>\u00c0 chacun sa v\u00e9rit\u00e9<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et donc tout se d\u00e9roule merveilleusement jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019apr\u00e8s avoir successivement \u00e9pous\u00e9 les points de vue de Madame Frola (mon gendre est fou) et de ce dernier, Monsieur Ponza (ma belle-m\u00e8re est folle), l\u2019on convoque la fille\/\u00e9pouse pour une ultime tentative de d\u00e9couvrir la V\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u2013 avec un grand V&nbsp;\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et que cette derni\u00e8re affirme&nbsp;: <em>\u00ab&nbsp;je suis bien la fille de Madame Frola&nbsp;\u2026 ET la seconde \u00e9pouse de Monsieur Ponza&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>, pr\u00e9cisant m\u00eame&nbsp;: <em>\u00ab&nbsp;pour moi, je ne suis personne&nbsp;! personne&nbsp;! Je suis celle qu\u2019on croit que je suis&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La pi\u00e8ce se termine sur ces mots, laissant le spectateur dans un immense sentiment de d\u00e9tresse&nbsp;: impossible de discerner le vrai du faux, tout est vrai ET tout est faux \u2026 tout \u00e0 la fois&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et voil\u00e0 que Julia Vidit, qui dirige le <em>Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Manufacture<\/em>, le CDN de Nancy, nous inflige son commentaire de texte, avec la complicit\u00e9 de Guillaume Cayet qui se permet d\u2019\u00e9crire un 4<sup>\u00e8me<\/sup> acte&nbsp;: <em>\u00ab&nbsp;Nous recolorisons le pass\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em> \u2026 rien que \u00e7a.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors, pour se d\u00e9barrasser de la subtilit\u00e9 d\u2019un Pirandello qui ne cesse de nous conduire d\u2019impasse en impasse, dans une pi\u00e8ce qui semble fig\u00e9e dans un espace-temps engluant, on pousse les d\u00e9cors, on convoque un tueur \u00e0 gages pour liquider l\u2019encombrante famille Frola-Ponza, avant qu\u2019une \u00ab&nbsp;Milicienne de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb \u2013 si, si, rien que \u00e7a \u2013 ne vienne r\u00e9clamer son coupable \u2013 et zou, ce sera le malheureux beau-fr\u00e8re du conseiller de pr\u00e9fecture qui partira pour un \u00e9chafaud populaire \u2013 avant que la fille dudit conseiller ne vienne flinguer ce qui lui reste de famille \u2013 et je passe sur des sc\u00e8nes \u00e9tranges, comme une de cannibalisme&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout \u00e7a en une bonne \u00bd heure, histoire de bien mettre les points sur les i \u2026 et d\u00e9truire la magie Pirandellienne&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourquoi vouloir refermer des portes que l\u2019auteur laisse volontairement ouvertes&nbsp;? Pourquoi vouloir expliquer ce qu\u2019il convient de comprendre d\u2019une pi\u00e8ce qui nous dit \u2026 qu\u2019on ne peut pas comprendre&nbsp;? Nous faire toucher du doigt LA v\u00e9rit\u00e9, au terme d\u2019une pi\u00e8ce qui nous dit que la v\u00e9rit\u00e9 \u2013 la vraie \u2013 n\u2019existe pas&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est m\u00eame l\u00e0 toute la modernit\u00e9 de Pirandello&nbsp;: le monde n\u2019existe qu\u2019au travers des regards que nous lui portons&nbsp;; autant de mondes que de regards&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est injuste pour Pirandello&nbsp;: il ne m\u00e9ritait pas une telle ex\u00e9g\u00e8se \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est injurieux pour le spectateur&nbsp;: la metteuse en sc\u00e8ne veut nous dicter ce qu\u2019on doit comprendre, comme si nous, pauvres spectateurs, nous n\u2019en \u00e9tions pas vraiment capables&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est aussi ignorer que, in fine, le v\u00e9ritable cr\u00e9ateur du spectacle, ce n\u2019est la metteuse en sc\u00e8ne, mais \u2026 celui qui y assiste, bien cal\u00e9 dans son si\u00e8ge&nbsp;! C\u2019est ce nommait Roland Barthes dans S\/Z&nbsp;: l\u2019art du scriptible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La litt\u00e9rature moderne \u2013 contrairement \u00e0 la classique \u2013 laisse suffisamment de portes ouvertes pour faire du lecteur un producteur de ce texte&nbsp;: c\u2019est bien en ce sens que Pirandello est un des auteurs les plus \u00ab&nbsp;modernes&nbsp;\u00bb de la litt\u00e9rature europ\u00e9enne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En refermant les portes, la metteuse en sc\u00e8ne d\u00e9nie au spectateur tout statut de scripteur pour le rendre d\u00e9finitivement passif \u2026 juste l\u2019inverse de ce qu\u2019aurait souhait\u00e9 Pirandello&nbsp;: il n\u2019y a pas que les traducteurs qui soient des traitres&nbsp;!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>J\u2019aurais d\u00fb me m\u00e9fier quand j\u2019ai lu sur le programme&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Un 4\u00e8me acte, un regard sur l\u2019histoire&nbsp;\u00bb et \u00ab&nbsp;je pousse plus loin la com\u00e9die de Pirandello en adaptant la pi\u00e8ce originale&nbsp;\u00bb&nbsp;!
