rencontre avec <strong>Eric Fourboul<\/strong>, fondateur de <em>Boavizta<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MarketingIsDead :<\/strong> <em>Tu peux r\u00e9sumer ton parcours jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es&nbsp;?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eric Fourboul&nbsp;:<\/strong> Ing\u00e9nieur de formation, j\u2019ai eu un parcours <em>\u00ab&nbsp;classique&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em> de <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cornucopien#:~:text=Un%20cornucopien%20est%20une%20personne,id%C3%A9ologie%20aff%C3%A9rente%20est%20le%20cornucopianisme.\">cornucopien<\/a> (ou technophile)&nbsp;: ing\u00e9nieur CAO chez Dassault Syst\u00e8mes, d\u00e9tachement chez Boeing \u00e0 Seattle pour travailler sur le 1er avion 100% num\u00e9rique, le 777, puis passage chez Microsoft et une startup locale Capital Stream avant de revenir en France en 2002 et de vivre une aventure entrepreneuriale avec AMI Software \u2013 logiciel de veille \u2013 jusqu\u2019en 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MarketingIsDead :<\/strong> <em>Tu as ensuite fond\u00e9 Boavizta&nbsp;: c\u2019est quoi exactement Boavizta&nbsp;?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eric Fourboul&nbsp;:<\/strong> <strong>Boavizta<\/strong> est un projet d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la mesure d\u2019impact environnemental du num\u00e9rique, et plus sp\u00e9cifiquement des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019informations d\u2019entreprises (datacenters, r\u00e9seaux, terminaux, cloud, \u00e9quipes IT\u2026, etc.). L\u2019initiative a commenc\u00e9 par la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un groupe de travail qui souhaite adresser ces challenges et vise \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper des m\u00e9thodologies, bases de donn\u00e9es et outils en mode Open Source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le num\u00e9rique \u2013 quoique qualifi\u00e9 d&rsquo;immat\u00e9riel \u2013 une empreinte environnementale non n\u00e9gligeable, longtemps ignor\u00e9e et qui est surtout en croissance exponentielle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MarketingIsDead :<\/strong> <em>Peux-tu expliquer ce qui a motiv\u00e9 ce changement&nbsp;?<\/em> <em>La crise sanitaire a-t-elle jou\u00e9 dans tes d\u00e9cisions&nbsp;?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eric Fourboul&nbsp;: <\/strong>En 2017, j\u2019ai eu plusieurs mois d\u2019inactivit\u00e9 professionnelle qui m\u2019ont permis de creuser certains sujets dont les enjeux environnementaux et la compr\u00e9hension <em>\u00ab&nbsp;physique&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em> de notre monde&nbsp;: le d\u00e9r\u00e8glement climatique n\u2019est qu\u2019un sympt\u00f4me d\u2019un syst\u00e8me qui nous am\u00e8ne droit dans le mur, soit par p\u00e9nurie de ressources, soit par les effets du d\u00e9r\u00e8glement climatique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La lecture de <em>The Limits To Growth<\/em> de <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Dennis_Meadows\">Dennis Meadows<\/a> est \u00e9clairante et devrait \u00eatre obligatoire pour tous les d\u00e9cideurs. On savait d\u00e9j\u00e0 en 1972 que notre mod\u00e8le n\u2019\u00e9tait pas soutenable&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A partir de ce constat, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 logique de donner du sens \u00e0 mon activit\u00e9 professionnelle en me focalisant sur les externalit\u00e9s produites par l\u2019industrie que je connais le mieux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pendant toute ma carri\u00e8re j\u2019ai particip\u00e9 \u00e0 imaginer des usages possibles gr\u00e2ce au num\u00e9rique. Dor\u00e9navant, je tente de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la question&nbsp;: quel num\u00e9rique est possible dans ce monde contraint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La crise sanitaire a amplifi\u00e9 mes convictions et a surtout facilit\u00e9 le contact avec des interlocuteurs en charge du <em>\u00ab&nbsp;num\u00e9rique responsable&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em> dans plusieurs grandes entreprises. Il est ironique de constater que le groupe de travail s\u2019est constitu\u00e9 pendant le 1<sup>er<\/sup> confinement&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>MarketingIsDead :<\/strong> <em>Et comment envisages-tu l\u2019avenir&nbsp;?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eric Fourboul&nbsp;: <\/strong>Je suis un optimiste de nature, donc je pense que nous avons une grande opportunit\u00e9 de r\u00e9inventer nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour cela, il faut sortir du d\u00e9ni dans lequel nous nous sommes enferm\u00e9s collectivement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme pour la courbe du deuil ou du changement, il faut accepter de passer par des \u00e9tapes potentiellement douloureuses et anxiog\u00e8nes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais apr\u00e8s, le champ des possibles est vaste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est int\u00e9ressant de constater que depuis une dizaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es, il existe une tendance de changement de vie assez&nbsp; <em>\u00ab&nbsp;radical&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em> chez de&nbsp; nombreux cadres qui acceptent ou provoquent une baisse de revenu pour privil\u00e9gier plus de temps libre ou de qu\u00eate de sens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u2019est ce changement radical et potentiellement tr\u00e8s positif qu\u2019il faut qu\u2019on op\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de nos soci\u00e9t\u00e9s.&nbsp; Il nous faut ajouter d\u2019autres indicateurs \u2013 bien \u00eatre, soutenabilit\u00e9, r\u00e9silience \u2013 \u00e0 ce foutu PIB qui guide toutes nos d\u00e9cisions et qui va in\u00e9vitablement et inexorablement baisser dans les d\u00e9cennies qui arrivent.
