<em>\u00ab&nbsp;<strong>la<\/strong>\nCovid-19&nbsp;\u00bb&nbsp;<\/em>: ainsi en a d\u00e9cid\u00e9 l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie Fran\u00e7aise le 7 mai 2020&nbsp;<em>: \u00ab&nbsp;Covid est l\u2019acronyme de corona\nvirus disease, et les sigles et acronymes ont le genre du nom qui constitue le\nnoyau du syntagme dont ils sont une abr\u00e9viation&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>, pr\u00e9cise-t-elle m\u00eame\n<a href=\"http:\/\/academie-francaise.fr\/le-covid-19-ou-la-covid-19\">ici<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donc poursuit l\u2019honorable\nsoci\u00e9t\u00e9&nbsp;: <em>\u00ab&nbsp;on devrait donc\ndire la covid 19, puisque le noyau est un \u00e9quivalent du nom fran\u00e7ais f\u00e9minin\nmaladie&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>&nbsp;; mais elle souligne en passant que l\u2019on <em>\u00ab&nbsp;aurait pu pr\u00e9f\u00e9rer au nom anglais\ndisease le nom latin morbus&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>, histoire de faire un peu plus p\u00e9dant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petite remarque en passant&nbsp;: si\n<em>\u00ab&nbsp;disease&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em> se traduit bien\nen fran\u00e7ais par <em>\u00ab&nbsp;maladie&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>,\n<em>\u00ab&nbsp;Covid-19&nbsp;\u00bb&nbsp;<\/em>n\u2019est pas\nl\u2019acronyme d\u2019une expression fran\u00e7aise incluant le mot <em>\u00ab&nbsp;maladie&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>, mais d\u2019une expression anglaise et le terme <em>\u00ab&nbsp;disease&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em> n\u2019est pas f\u00e9minin,\nmais \u2026 neutre&nbsp;!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manque de bol, le neutre est\nrarissime en fran\u00e7ais \u2013 m\u00eame si pas totalement absent \u2013 et de toutes fa\u00e7ons, il\nne s\u2019applique pas aux noms&nbsp;; cela \u00e9tant, le neutre existait en latin \u2013 ce\nlatin si cher aux doctes acad\u00e9miciens \u2013 et ce neutre a souvent abouti en fran\u00e7ais\nmoderne \u00e0 \u2026 des masculins&nbsp;: <em>\u00ab&nbsp;<\/em><em>templum<\/em><em>&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em> a donn\u00e9 <em>\u00ab&nbsp;temple&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais surtout, une langue n\u2019existe\nqu\u2019au travers de ses dires&nbsp;: ce n\u2019est pas une construction abstraite,\ncodifi\u00e9e et fig\u00e9e, comme les langages informatiques&nbsp;!
